Future Student / Course Registration

Graduation credits

1.Undergraduate program: a minimum of 128 credits shall be completed upon graduation, including 60 credits for major compulsory courses, 28 credits for major optional courses; 40 credits for general compulsory and optional courses.

* In addition to the graduation credits, one certificate must be obtained within the period of study (For relevant certificates, refer to the certificate list of the Department of Business Administration). If there is no certificate, 6 credits must be completed to exempt the certificate.

2. In-service undergraduate program: a minimum of 130 credits shall be completed upon graduation, including 60 credits for major compulsory courses, 24 credits for major optional courses, 10 credits for elective courses; 30 credits for general compulsory and optional courses, and 6 credits for general compulsory courses of the Department.

3. Master's program: besides the master's thesis, 12 credits for compulsory courses of the Department shall be obtained, and number of the total graduation credits completed must exceed 33 (exclusive of 6 credits for thesis).

4. Master's program: in addition to the thesis, 12 credits for compulsory courses of the Department must be completed, and number of total graduation credits completed must exceed 33 (exclusive of 6 credits for thesis).

5. Doctorate program: in addition to completion of thesis, the compulsory courses of the Department must be passed and the number of total graduation credits completed must exceed 36 credits (including 6 credits for thesis).

II.Rules for credits of optional courses

1. Undergraduate program: number of completed credits per semester of 1st-3rd academic year shall not be less than 16 and shall not exceed 25; the number of credits completed credits in each semester of the 4th academic year shall not be less than 9 credits but shall not exceed 25.

2. In-service undergraduate program: number of credits per semester shall not be lower than 9 credits but shall not exceed 25. If the students who take courses of undergraduate’s program as elective courses, the credits of the elective courses shall be 1/5 of the number of the total credits completed in the semester.

* The above mentioned credits include minor, double major and sports credits.

* The credits completed by students of the Department shall not be lower than the above specified number of credits. If the credits exceed the above number, the relevant treatment provisions shall be implemented. (Contact with Department Office)

3. Master's program: a maximum of 15 credits per semester shall be completed.

4. Master's program: a maximum of 12 credits per semester shall be completed.

5. Doctorate Program: 2 credits per semester must be obtained, and Grade 4 or above students are not restricted to the credit number.

V.Selection of courses: there are four stages: select, add, drop and withdraw courses

(2) Log in [Student-Online Course Selection System] to add/drop compulsory (optional) course by the deadline, each course has the upper (lower) limit for number of students taking the course. If the number reaches the upper limit, the course cannot be added. For the undergraduate program, if the number of students who drop the course exceeds 18, you cannot drop the course online. You can download a course selection sheet via the course selection system and submit it to the instructor for signature, and after signature submit the original copy to Department Office before the deadline to drop a course, and retain the copy one. Each department shall submit the sheet to the Dean's office.

(3) Please pay attention to whether you have been listed in instructor's roll call to avoid being unable to obtain grade due to negligence, and visit the website for confirmation of the selected courses of the current semester after September 25, 2013, and subject to records of Course Selection System.

3. Date to re-add a course: a student who meets the following qualifications may go to the dean's office for re-adding a course.

(1) If the Dean's Office announces cancelation of a course after the deadline to add and drop a course, if your credits fail to reach the specified minimum credits, you should re-add a course to supplement the credits.

(2) If a director of college, department or institute requests adding or dropping a course, the course shall be added or dropped.

(3) After the transfer credits or exemptions for one course has been approved, the course shall be dropped.

4.Deadline to withdraw a course:

(1) After you have added courses in each semester, if you cannot concentrate on study due to poor physical and psychological conditions and domestic calamity, you can apply for withdrawing the course. In principle, only one course can be withdrawn.

(2) The credits received by the students who apply for withdrawing a course shall not be lower than the minimum total credits per semester.

(3) The deadline for students to apply for withdrawing a course in each semester is four weeks before the final examination.
